Richard D. Downie brings decades of international affairs expertise to IIC, where he leads the firm's overall strategy and its highest-level engagements. He is a Senior Fellow at the Pacific Council on International Policy and an adjunct professor at the University of Southern California (USC), pairing rigorous academic grounding with practical, on-the-ground experience across government, business, and civic society. Under his leadership, IIC connects clients to the policy insight and global relationships needed to move complex initiatives forward with confidence.

Farrah N. Khan is a business and international trade consultant and the former Mayor of the City of Irvine, California. Her background in municipal, state, and federal leadership gives her a rare, ground-level understanding of how economic development, trade policy, and public partnership actually get built, not just negotiated. At IIC , she handles inbound/outbound trade delegations, and guides clients through market-entry strategy and cross-border trade relationships with the same practical, results -driven approach she brought to city government.

Souzan Baaj oversees the operational backbone of IIC's work, ensuring that delegations, exchanges, and cultural initiatives run smoothly from first planning conversation to final handshake. She designs and manages the logistics behind the firm's cultural programming, coordinating the details that allow international engagements to unfold seamlessly across time zones, protocols, and languages. Her work ensures that IIC's ambitions for cultural connection translate into experiences that are well-executed as they are meaningful.
